What do you do?
We are WTFFF?! 3D Printing Podcast Hosts, Product Design Experts and Inventor Entrepreneurs. At Hazz Design, we know what products sell. We know what to make & what 3D Printing business/product strategy works. We know what colors will sell. We know when, how and what to patent. Most importantly, we help designers and businesses jump the 3D Print learning curve free on our podcast to help them be more successful faster!
What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your industry?
Attracting good – actually great – design and designers who understand retail is the biggest challenge. The makers and hackers can only take us so far. If 3D Printing services, downloads, products are going to succeed commercially, then we have to make what people (and by people I really mean women) want to buy. We have to excite them, make them feel special and make their lives easier.

What impact will changes in your industry have on consumers? the world?
What consumer isn’t going to fall in love with the idea that their product is unique – a unit of one, not one of 100,000+? As that consumer demand for 3D Printing grows so will the demand for more (and better) designs, colors, materials, etc. The ripples of impact will hit sales, marketing and of course manufacturing and distribution. Traditional businesses that fail to see this and pivot might go out of business overnight. It has already happened in some areas. Now all we are going to need are a lot more highly skilled and experienced designers, CAD operators, more technicians. We better start training them now!
What is your biggest goal right now?
Our marketing goal right now is to expand our Podcast listener base to more designers and businesses. We are also actively researching and testing different venues for selling design files and/or 3D Printed products for the most profitable and marketable options. Our other personal challenge is teaching our 6-year old daughter CAD so she can 3D Print.
What kind of support or types of people do you need to accelerate your success?
Right now, we have more to offer than we need, but we do need businesses and designers to ask us more questions. Ask Us Anything – small or large. Ask to be interviewed on our Podcast. Or, ask us to guest blog, to speak at an event/meet-up or to talk to your team and hear your challenges.
What makes you or your work different from everybody else?
We have 20+ years of experience taking products from brainstorm to box every day. We know the ins and outs of the U.S. Consumer. We have 35 patents with an 86% commercialization rate, over double the US average. We started out 3D Printing and after making tons of mistakes, we developed shortcuts to help us determine what is worth pursuing to yield income with the least amount of investment in time and money.
