We are an organization dedicated to 3D printing adoption. We offer tools for business adopters, trades & professions, and enthusiasts to discover ways to innovate and apply the technology and to connect and collaborate with others across industries and disciplines.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your industry?
To help people see, understand, and capitalize for the greater good, new and more efficient methods of making / manufacturing. We are tackling it through three portals of perspective: trades & professions, business adopters, and enthusiasts. The approach is to provide tools to help people understand and find opportunities to connect and engage.
What impact will changes in your industry have on consumers? the world?
Additive manufacturing (3D printing) and related technologies have the potential to disrupt EVERY industry. Objects (basically ANYTHING) will become cheaper to produce and have higher quality that is completely customizable to the implementation. It will challenge legal norms (e.g. scanning and printing works of art, printing guns, etc.). It will challenge moral, ethical, religious, and spiritual beliefs (e.g. printed human tissue/organs, etc.). There is really no area of modern human existence that will not be turned upside down!
What is your biggest goal right now?
To get the organization fully registered, set up the site, and start engaging brilliant minds to tackle the tough issues.
What kind of support or types of people do you need to accelerate your success?
At this point we need web developers, lawyers, marketing specialists, and finance experts to work on the site and organization needs. Most importantly though, we need people from all walks to get involved and tell us what YOU need to support the transition.
What makes you or your work different from everybody else?
We provide platforms, tools, and information that encourage the sharing of ideas, energies, and solutions. We provide a non-proprietary neutral voice that positively encourages involvement and adoption. We transform data into information, knowledge, and wisdom and share it freely with those who can use it. We tackle controversial issues with wise counsel and discussions and help lead society to peaceful transition to this disruptive technology.
