What do you do?
I am a marketing consultant working specifically with manufacturing companies to help them gain advantage in their market space with educational content marketing (knowledge marketing) strategy and tactics. My two sub-specialties are knowledge focused webinars and implementation/leveraging marketing automation for broader and more meaningful engagement with the target audience.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your industry?
Manufacturing companies generally lag in adopting modern marketing practices. They usually have very lean marketing teams and lack the depth of experience with using modern marketing tools and knowledge marketing techniques. But, boy when they catch on, look out. They need the most help with marketing and the manufacturing companies that do take on knowledge marketing as the strategy will kill it in their competitive space and take market share from their laggard competitors.
What impact will changes in your industry have on consumers? the world?
Assuming my industry is marketing for manufacturers and consumers are business purchasers, changes in the marketing industry will provide more meaningful and helpful marketing. They won’t have to endure the condescension or degradation of stupid, self-centered advertisements/marketing. Same for the world. In a work, authenticity.
What is your biggest goal right now?
My goal is to help as many small and medium size manufacturing companies/marketers be better marketers so their lives are better, they love the authenticity of knowledge marketing and can’t wait to go to work in the morning. Educational webinars are a great starting point for manufacturers. My goal is to deliver 6 webinars per month in total for as many clients at that will take.
What kind of support or types of people do you need to accelerate your success?
I need freelance marketers who can fill in the gaps for my business. Freelance graphic designers, web developers, copywriters primarily. I need them to be able to understand a technical, engineering business.
What makes you or your work different from everybody else?
My manufacturing clients get growth and engagement because we lead with knowledge, helping them be better at something that plagues them. Knowledge marketing strategy talks about products second. This is the opposite of nearly all manufacturing marketing strategies. It works!
Thank You.
