I help manufacturing and industrial companies grow by modernizing their marketing, showing how their websites can be the source of more sales leads.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your industry?
To many manufacturing and industrial companies today, a website is still a brochure — an item they check off their list and move on. Companies can make literally millions each year if they realize there’s more to a website than a “contact us” link. People use Google to find answers to their questions, and many industrial companies miss that boat completely.
What impact will changes in your industry have on consumers? the world?
Most business owners and entrepreneurs I speak with have personal goals. They want to retire in 10 years, or build a company to sell, or make a good income for their families. If I can help provide a service that does that, then I’ve helped to change their world.
What is your biggest goal right now?
I have a business, too, and I want to grow it. I’m trying to do that by having conversations with industrial and manufacturing companies that want growth, but may not know exactly how to do it. A close second would be providing a great work atmosphere for my employees — a place they can work, have fun, and be challenged.
What kind of support or types of people do you need to accelerate your success?
I like to speak with business owners, sales VPs and Marketing VPs. We specialize in companies that sell to other companies, so I like talking to those types. But to be honest, it’s less about “accelerating my success” and more about wanting to help companies grow and achieve their goals.
What makes you or your work different from everybody else?
Well, I suppose I sit behind a computer like many in America today. But I like to get away from the computer and tour industrial facilities. It’s interesting to me to learn how companies that make the simplest of components factor into the overall economy. I’m really not interested in working with “sexy” companies that normal ad agencies focus on. I like the ones that wear hard hats and safety glasses.
