What do you do?
I’m an affiliate marketeer and blogger / content marketeer, focusing on the mobile technology sector.
I write, review and publish news about the latest handsets, tablets and wearable technologies. Plus work with some of the biggest mobile phone retailers and networks in the UK to promote their products.
As a sideline I also sell business to business services such as advertising space, paid social posts and sponsored article opportunities.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your industry?
As mentioned in the previous question, there is a gap in the mobile publishing / reviewing market for a quality but concise publication to corner the market and actually provide consumers with straight to the point information. This coupled with expertly chosen offers, would be a unique refinement of what is already on offer!
What impact will changes in your industry have on consumers? the world?
The mobile technology industry is for ever changing, so this question is quite a difficult one to answer. However from a publishing position, the constant introduction of new technologies means that consumers will continue to become more in need of information and the opinion of those perceived to be knowledgeable.
What is your biggest goal right now?
After what was a difficult 2nd half of 2014, I’m rebuilding my writing team. This is my main goal at this moment in time. After that I’ll be looking to build a team of people to look after social media accounts.
So stability would be the precise thing to say is my main goal, especially after such a rocky 2014.
What kind of support or types of people do you need to accelerate your success?
Due to the fact that I have a blog, handset comparison site and growing social media accounts.The inclusion of more team members, whether that be full-time or freelancers would greatly increase the amount of content out-put and as such the success and exposure of the business.
What makes you or your work different from everybody else?
I believe the majority of online publishing businesses (Those especially in the mobile industry) have lost perspective to what it is the customer wants, with regards to information. As such I provide quality but concise information about products of interest. With the ultimate goal being to aid consumers in their purchasing decisions.
